9 inches baby!!

We went to VV (Value Village) last night for a quick run through. I hadn't been there in almost a week - at least that location, and so I was itchin' to see if there was anything new. No new patterns, fabric, or notions - too bad. We did come across a few sinks which we originally weren't in the market for, except for the fact that the one thing that's bothered me about my ghetto kitchen has been the 4in. sink. You put three dishes in it and the damn thing's full. It's really a problem if you're as filthy as I am.

One of the sinks was an AmeriCast with a few scratches on it, but at $13, the price was right up my alley. The depth was even nicer and is about 9 solid inches. It's not gAndy's sink which I covet, but those are hard to find. We did buy a new faucet since we had a lever one and wanted to upgrade to one with handles. This is where I get really cheap. The faucet was $70 bucks. I didn't see the point in buying one for $200 to match my $13 sink. It'll work for now.

The bear installed it this afternoon and we're waiting for the caulk to dry. After dinner he informed me that his dish was in the sink in case I couldn't see it. Oh, yeah, I know the tile work is awful, but that's for another day. Preferably once IKEA sets up in the Piedmont.
